The idea of 'Ladyslipper Farm' was originally formulated to encompass the many facets of our interests in orchids and Morgan horses. In 1996 we purchased our first Morgan horses from the dispersal of a New York State farm, whose trainers just happened to be Fred and Jeanne Mellin Herrick (author of The Complete Morgan Horse). We were off to a good start with the purchase of our first two mares, chosen with the help of the Herricks. Nearby was another farm with an Immortal Command mare for sale that we went to 'look at' and she soon joined us. Now with 15 Morgans and 4 foals from the spring of 2007, we look forward every day to the time we are able to spend with our horses.

Our breeding operation is small by choice, but Spring of 2007 brought possibly the best 'Ace' babies to Ladyslipper Farm---we have an outstanding bay filly by 'Ace' out of Foxridge Fantasie by Immortal Command, and an outrageously talented chestnut colt by 'Ace' and out of Bohemian Rhapsody. Our Morgans feature the following bloodlinges: Beamington, Bennfield's Ace, Waseeka's Nocturne, Bandbox and Charm, Saddleback Supreme, Symphony, and Scarlet, Trophy, Immortal Command, and Pecos.

And there's more! They are intelligent and fun to be around, are pretty, and have type without coarseness, hold up to comparison with the Morgan standard, and are very people oriented.
